We have two sizes; 13 cm cocktail straws and 20 cm drinking straws
What diameter are the straws?
Because every straw is unique, no two straws are exactly the same so the diameter varies from 4 mm to 6 mm
Are they gluten free?
Yes The Best Eco Straws are made from the stems of the wheat plants and the gluten is normally found in the grains of the plant. Studies done on similar products by various food and allergy groups show no gluten present.
I have a hay or grass allergy, what should I do?
Hay and grass allergies vary from person to person, if you are in doubt about using The Best Eco Straws we strongly recommend you consult your Doctor or allergy specialist before using any wheat stem straws.
How are The Best Eco Straws made?
Once the wheat plants reach maturity, the top of the plants containing the wheat grain are harvested. The leftover stems, which are normally discarded or used as animal feed, are gathered for processing.
A purpose built commercial food grade facility is used for cleaning, drying, sterilising and packaging the straws before they are exported to our warehouse.
How do I dispose of The Best Eco Straws?
The Best Eco Straws are 100% natural with no added chemicals or coatings. They can be disposed of in your compost, food scraps or compostable bins where they will very quickly break down, depending on conditions.
Do they come in different quantity options?
Yes The Best Eco Straws are available in boxes of 100, 500 and 1,000 for the 13 cm cocktail straws or boxes of 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 for the 20 cm drinking straws.
Can The Best Eco Straws be used in hot beverages?
Yes The Best Eco Straws can be used in hot and cold drinks.
Do The Best Eco Straws go soggy in my drink like those yucky paper ones?
No, The Best Eco Straws do not go soggy in your hot or cold drink, in fact they can last for days and stay perfectly good.
